Resident Evil After Afterlife

Resident Evil After Afterlife

With work starting on new 3D film Resident Evil: Afterlife in a few weeks but not due out until October 2010, Bloody Disgusting has uncovered that the series is due for a reboot with a 5th film planned, sans Jovovovovovovic [sic].

With Milla Jovovich pricing herself out of any further sequels (she will be in Afterlife) producers are looking for a way to continue the series without her.

Provisionally titled Resident Evil Begins it’s set to retread ground from the first movie from a different perspective, either that or they’re definitely struggling for a reason to reboot the series as it is apparently about

a special military unit who fights a powerful, out-of-control supercomputer and hundreds of scientists who have mutated into flesh-eating creatures after a laboratory accident

Now, I’ve not been a big fan of the movies, at all, although I am intrigued to see an army of Alice’s tearing through some zombies. If this one is just as uninteresting though is a reboot the future or just flogging a dead horse?
