WIN: 1 Of 3 Hats From Real Deal Brazil

A few of you may have seen a little film called Zombieland last year and you’ll have to agree that Tallahassee is one of the coolest characters that Woody Harrelson has ever played. This was down almost entirely to his fantastic hat from Real Deal Brazil.

Now, were not saying you can look as cool as Tallahassee (hint: you won’t) but you will increase your cool factor by at least 3 points if you’re seen in one of these tarp hats. Each hat is unique and made from recycled canvas tarpaulins from cargo trucks.

You can support Real Deal Brazil by visiting their site or becoming a fan on Facebook. You can also win 1 of 10 hats on their Facebook page when they hit 1,000 fans (currently 836!)

tarp hat WIN: 1 Of 3 Hats From Real Deal BrazilThe Real Deal is a tarp hat made in Brazil and crafted from recycled tarps of Brazilian cargo trucks in an attempt to cut down on the wasting of resources. Most likely the fabric in The Real Deal traveled from the Amazon to Sao Paulo and back again. So don’t take care of this hat, it will take care of you.

To win simply leave a comment below letting us know where you’d want to be when the zombie outbreak occurs (pro tip: Madagascar).

Full rules and all giveaways can be found on our Birthday Bash page.

I would have to say Alcatraz for myself, just need to be fully stocked and I’m golden.

  2. unsocial says:

I would want to be in a city in a high location to view the onslaught below me. With plenty of provisions of course (Food, weapons, etc.)

  3. Ray says:

If I’m stuck in the city when an outbreak occurs, I’m going for the nearest school. Urban schools have strong fences and limited points of entry.

  4. GoblynQueene says:

    Don’t say it.
    What?
    The Zed-word. Don’t say it.

I would wanna be at The Winchester!
    Cold Pints! And Pig Snacks!

  5. Zombieboy says:

I have decided to head south from Tallahassee (YES, I LIVE in TALLAHASSEE!!!) and steal a boat. I would then sail south to the Everglades. There is an abundant food supply, relatively moderate climate year round, lots of fresh water, and the very nature of the place would make it nearly impossible for any zombies to get far at all! Fishing and sunshine baby!!

  6. Jaime says:

I’d want to be far up north in Canada, preferably close to the arctic circle.

  7. GoblynQueene says:

    Maybe Costa Rica…
    Do Zombies get tans?

  8. Mark says:

I’m still thinking DFW…it even has it’s own Pacific Playland in Six Flags with a freefall ride called the Cliffhanger.

  9. Micheline says:

I’m a teacher at a detention centre, and I have often thought that it would be a good place to be in the event of a Zombie outbreak. . . nothing is gettign in there!!

  10. Jaime says:

What about one of those islands that Marlon Brando owned off the Florida Keys. Remote but within a quick boat ride of the mainland for supplies.

  11. daniel says:

For some reason I have always thought that a large boat would be ideal- as long as it is big enough that the Zombies cant get on board over the side..

  12. Misty says:

    Tibet

  13. GoblynQueene says:

I’m kind of liking the boat in the ocean idea. Though it would have to be a big enough boat to hold a number of provisions.

    Can zombies swim?

  14. I could not get into a government facility I would look for a walled in and secluded college campus. Most campuses have enough provisions and resources on-hand to be made at least partially, if not fully, self sustaining for the short term and many can be easily defended if they are enclosed. On top of this most usually have power generators that if used sparingly can provide power for months after the power initially goes out.

  15. Mort8088 says:

Cargo ship in the middle of the ocean with solar panels to make the electric power that I’d use to make the water drinkable and a small farm in the hold for all my food.

No need to put to shore so no chance of getting zombies on the anchor chain

  16. Don says:

I am working with the brazilians now and need a hat for my visits.
Then I can look like the real deal

  17. Ray says:

I live only a few blocks from the Intrepid. The weapons may not work anymore, but it looks like a highly defensible location.

  18. I do know though that if I was stuck in the city (I live in Chicago) I would be trying to get out asap. Rush hour traffic out of the city is hell to begin with and how bad this would be is absolutely ridiculous. Fortunately I live a 10 minute walk from the marina so I would immediately go to where my uncle docks his boat and prep it to leave (first of course checking if he’s trying to get to it.) If he was I would move it just far enough off the dock so no one else could climb aboard and wait, if not I would leave and head up to Michigan where there are a lot of rural areas that would be semi-fortifiable. I would hope to have beaten the selection and go to one of the 4 lake houses (actually 3 of them, the 4th is too easily accessible) and immediately work on both stocking up on supplies and making it so it wasn’t easy to enter the grounds or the area between the house and the dock. (which would be easy at 2 of the locations and difficult but possible at the third.) I would try to setup shop here as long as possible until I had to leave or found that it was safe to. If I had to leave I would go north to Canada if it was the summer or south if it was the winter. If I were to go south I would need to be sure to find a location I could hit that would allow me to easily change transportation.

  19. Zedword says:

    Hunkered in my bunker!

  20. Jason Cole says:

I would want to be in Little Rock Mississippi. Very defendable and in a remote enough location that survival with food, farming, etc is very possible.

  21. jimmy slay says:

antartica would be nice as long as im with a bevy of hot female lab scientists with lots of good food and some great beer, and dewars. Also no zombies or aliens like the one Kurt Russell had to battle in the movie the Thing. Yeah. Oh and a Taylor acoustic guitar.

  22. Jordan says:

I would want to be in one of the uninhabited islands of Hawaii.
