3 days in a darkened cinema screen isn’t doing ZC Barry any favours and with less than 6 hours sleep on each of the nights Day 4 is proving a struggle.

With hopes of actual zombies in SALVAGE and the prospect of messed up cinema from HUMAN CENTIPEDE he skips DEAD SNOW as the DVD would come out by the time Frightfest finished.

Film 4 Frightfest – Day 3 Review

Only getting to sleep at 5am caused ZC Barry to sleep in for Day 3 of Frightfest but luckily the later start meant he still made it in time for the first film.

Only zombie film of the day to look forward to is Pontypool and Millenium looks like a prime candidate for some extra slleping time at 150 minutes in length.

After getting home at 3am and having a fitful night’s sleep, the early start to get tickets to the Discovery Screen does ZC Barry no favours.

With a full day of 6 movies to watch, along with the usual Frightfest skits and shorts in between, his love of zombie films takes the place of his love of sleep. Colin and French zombie flick La Horde are today’s zombie highlights.

Film 4 Frightfest – Day 1 Review

In an attempt to see some new zombie movies first and due to a distinct lack of any other holidays planned, ZC Barry got a weekend ticket to the UK’s premiere horror film festival, Film 4’s Frightfest.

Split over 5 days and 2 screens Frightfest would incorporate over 25 films across a beautiful bank holiday weekend (horror fans like hiding from the sun) in The Empire Cinema in London’s Leicester Square. Premieres included Christopher Smith’s Trangle, starring Melissa George as well as Jon Harris’ Descent 2, the sequel to Neil Marshall’s original.

The only real problem is he doesn’t really like horror films…
