ARhrrrrr Zombies – Augmented Reality Game
A tech demo for mobile camera phones (in this case a dev kit for nVidia’s Tegra) where you set up a paper map and use Augmented Reality to shoot zombies.
Point the camera at the map to create a world with zombies and guide the humans to the choppah to get them out safely. Use Skittles to plant and create different types of bombs depending on what colour of Skittles you use.
There too much product placement going on for me in this game developed for IndieCade 2009 but I like where it’s going. I doubt I’m ever going to set up the mat to play but if they can make it so it does it with real people in the streets I might get involved.
