Mutant Games is proud to announce the development of his next incoming game for the iPhone: Farts VS Zombies.

Colonel John Farter is an American officer who spent seven years in a North Vietnamese POW camp, then escaped. He just recently came back, and discovers that his town is full of zombies and his only weapon is his ass. He mets up with his old friend Banana Max and together, they will launch a mission to free the town from The Evil Unicorn and his army of zombies.

In Farts VS Zombies you have to kill zombies with farts, you draw with the finger the path of the farts and direct them to their faces. The game goal is to protect the japanese schoolgirls from the attack of the zombies as much time as possible. In fact, zombies hate farts, it’s the only thing that can kill them, well… not the only one really. But the game is more than that, you can do Fart Combos, use funny Special Attacks and items and compete in online rankings with your friends to see who is the best farter!

Farts VS Zombies puts together many different elements and mixes them into a crude, vulgar, absurd but also a really fun, entertaining game. You will laugh like crazy! This is our contribution to the popular Zombie genre and also a kind of criticism, parody and tribute to the App Store. The project has been frozen during the last months but now we’re working on it again and we hope to release it soon.

The red dots on the screen represent zombies; blue represents zombie hunters like Tallahassee from Zombieland and the green ones represent the unprotected people walking about that will soon make a nice snack for a zombie or two. Not only can you monitor the dots and see who comes out alive, but by adding a new icon to the screen, it acts like a bomb and wipes out everything on your screen.

You can download the wallpaper for $0.99 from the Android Market and even if you’re thinking: “Why would I ever pay for wallpaper on my phone?” you surely won’t be disappointed or find this one to be a waste of money.

The only thing left to do is wait for George Romero to have an Android version of his iPhone application released, then even your phone will be a valuable zombie-fighting tool. Hopefully we’ll still have 3G or Wi-Fi access during the zombocalypse and a wallpaper that shows real-time zombie to human and hunter ratios.

Developed by Additive Interactive, the app will allow the user to import photos of their friends and family and transform them into brain hungry, undead corpses. It allows you to take over the director role and transform your ordinary friends into some pretty fiendish characters.

Features include:

• Capturing or importing a photo, followed by adding over 20 zombie features, including open wounds, weapons, and a large gallery of deformed eyes and mouth options.
• A custom engine that allows you to “shoot” your creations and experience the amazing blood-splatter effect.
• Save your zombie images to your phone, post them to a social networking website or e-mail them to others.

Although there is no release date specified, it’s rumored that the application will appear in the App Store within the next 2-3 weeks. iPhone owners will be eager to get their hands on this application but I’d be careful, I’ve heard it makes your device a bit hungry and may cause unexplained bite marks and loss of humanity.

ZC Barry has been playing the beta version of Zombie Smash for the last couple of weeks (look for his name in the credits!) and, despite throwing tantrums when the zombies over-run his house, has been enjoying it immensely.

ZombieSmash! is a Survival Comedy game for the iPhone and iPod touch, featuring undead-themed castle defense and entertaining, physics-based gameplay. The game casts players as Joey, a lone survivor pit against a herd of writhing, unrelenting zombies – to defeat the undead masses, players must use their fingers to flick and smash them until they’re un-undead.

Zombie Cannon Carnage is a new iPhone game from Freeverse and is their second game after Parachute Ninja.

The trailer above shows a bit of the gameplay and we’ll have a review for you once it’s released, but how can you go wrong with such awesome game names.

Promethium Marketing Group, today announced the development of Tweet Defense, the world’s first iPhone game that tosses ridiculous killer zombies and your Twitter stats into a tower defense blender for a delicious brainy, viral juice mix.

Tweet Defense will be available for the iPhone and iPod Touch platform in February at a limited sale price of $.99. The game was designed in partnership with UK development studio GrinLock and will feature:

10 incredible levels that build from easy walk in the park to devastating horror show
5 whacked out enemy types including the viral marketing zombie and zombie twins Gu and Ga
6 tower types including the unique BOOSTER tower that lets you use twitter celebs to boost your tower stats

Tweet Defense’s executive producer, Nelson Rodriguez explained, “We wondered what it would be like to take your social network and your activities there and turn it into a game. We ended up with a full on tower defense game that uses your friend list and your tweeting activity to impact how powerful your towers are.”

The Tweet Defense story: “A lethal marketing virus has turned half the world population into brain eating zombies. Now they are after your brains! All you have on hand are every day items and an internet connection. Reach out to your twitter friends to help you build defense towers out of every day items. Stop the zombies from penetrating your home base and eating your grey matter! With your friends helping you design the towers and your brilliant battle strategies the zombies do not stand a chance … or do they?”

The game is wonderfully presented, even in these demo stages, and incorporates the sort of fantastic 2D visuals that make the iPhone a serious hand held gaming competitor. Characters are designed to incorporate clues as to their strengths and weaknesses and even though you’ll face off against them in their hundreds, enough charm comes through as you slaughter them mercilessly.

The gameplay itself is simple, hold a button, aim and release to launch the football at an approaching zombie. The longer you hold it, the stronger your kick. Each kill fills up your power meter which, when full, allows the player to unleash the power of fast kicks, power kicks, or an orbital laser!

The story progresses at a fair pace and it’s not all just standing in one spot launching ball after ball. Although only 4 levels were available in the demo I suspect SAHDMT have more features, settings and zombies for the final version with extra gameplay modes to add replayability. Overall this has the makings of a must-have iPhone game and will certainly be among the top zombie apps when it comes out.
