The Crazies takes place in an Iowan farming town called Ogden Marsh. Everything is very “small town, USA”, until the population begin to get a little homicidal...
Babylon Fields was a zombie TV series that was made for CBS in 2007. I’d say unfortunately it wasn’t picked up but the premise of zombies returning to set right past wrongs is ridiculous.
That said apart from trying to shoehorn some back story and empathy in for some of the characters it certainly wouldn’t have been the worst series that we’ve watched at ZC HQ.
*UPDATE* This rumour has been debunked by Pride and Prejudice and Zombies author Seth Graham-Smith himself. PPZ is still planned to be made into a feature length movie though.
Having been followed by this Twitter account it would seem that Deadline Productions are creating a 6 part TV series of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
Of course, what the Twitter account fails to provide any details on is who Deadline Productions are, when the series will be coming to TV or any other details about the show.
Using our awesome powers of looking at a computer monitor, their Twitter background has a UK Channel 4 logo on it, but whether that’s just an image they’re using or not is currently unclear.
We’ve reached out the possible production company and Channel 4 to see if we can find out more info.
What would you do in the wake of a global catastrophe? How would you find food? Water? Shelter?
The Colony is a controlled experiment to see exactly what it would take to survive and rebuild under these circumstances. For 10 weeks, a group of 10 volunteers, whose backgrounds and expertise represent a cross-section of modern society, are isolated in an urban environment outside Los Angeles and tasked with creating a livable society.
With no electricity from the grid, no running water and no communication with the outside world, all the volunteers have to work with are their skills and whatever tools and supplies they can scavenge from their surroundings.
Experts from the fields of homeland security, engineering and psychology have helped design the world of The Colony to reflect elements from both real-life disasters and models of what the future could look like after a global viral outbreak.
Over the course of the 10-week experiment, the Colonists must work together to build the necessities of survival, such as a water-filtration system, a battery bank that powered their electricity, a solar cooker, a shower system and a greenhouse – and even some niceties (a coffee maker!).
This seems to be great training for the inevitable zombie apocalypse. Watch as the survivors build survival tools, weapons and shelter as they complete challenges set by experts and ward off marauders. Remember and take notes though as this could be you!
A global pandemic has decimated the population and left the cities deserted. When a handful of survivors find themselves stranded in the aftermath, with the dead returning to life, they must rely on each other to live in a world overrun by the walking dead.Lifeless is an episodic drama developed to be devoured by the world via television and the web.
This potential TV series seems to have stalled since it was looking for a channel to host it last September.
The first five minutes are available to watch online as well as several clips but 3 episodes were available to watch at the New York Television Festival so must be fairly far along so I’m not confident about the quality if it’s still not been picked up.
The production values don’t look great but the zombies are decent and the fact that it’d be able to develop characters and a world much more than a 2hr film could still make me want to see it.
Zombie Command has reached out to the producers for more info on what is currently happening with this zombie series. In the meantime check out the official site for updates.
First gear review is for my newest zombie knife the Leatherman Charge TTi. This is an upgrade to the knife I’ve had for over 2 years and still gets used everyday, the Charge XTi.
