Dead Snow Trailer
Dead Snow is a Norwegian film that premiered at the Sundance Film festival. It’s being released in the US on June 12th both in theatres and through VOD.
The film centres on a group of Norwegian medical students who go on a holiday to a remote Norwegian town that served as a base of operations for the Germans during WWII. The group start off having a care free holiday but it soon descends into chaos as the Nazis come back to un-life as zombies.
The film appears to be a mix of comedy and horror but edging toward the Shaun of the Dead style humour. It at least seems to pay homage to the both Shaun and the Evil Dead series with the tooling up in the workshed but it has mixed reviews and I’m not a big fan of zomcoms in general.
Still snowmobile mounted chainguns mean I’ll probably give this a shot when it’s out.
