Atom – The Amazing Zombie Killer
A zombie movie without zombies – This is apparently the premise of the soon to be filmed independent horror flick Atom The Amazing Zombie Killer.
First time filmmakers Richard Tayler and Zach Beins of Bizjack Flemco productions would rather not give the plot away except to say this: Atom is going to be like a cross between Dawn of the Dead and The Big Lebowski. Bowling Alley of the Dead?
The trailer (which is far too NSFW to go on here and will be removed from YouTube before 1,000 views) starts off by showing the classic zombie killing items, shotgun, chainsaw, lawnmower and… a bowling ball?! It then shows the protagonist crushing zombies heads and punching straight through them all while equipped with one of the deadlier zombie killing weapons.
According to the trailer there will be zombies and the title even has zombies in it so we’re not entirely sure where the ‘no zombies’ motif comes from. Perhaps they will turn the genre on it’s head!
Inspired by prolific shlock horror master Lloyd Kaufman and Troma films this interesting addition to the zombie genre should a fascinating watch filled with over the top comedy, horror and gore…….maybe while bowling. To fund there efforts Taylor and Beins have set up a donation site and hope to raise $1,000. Filming takes place this June, July and August.
I just think people should support independent film concludes Taylor help produce an awesome zombie movie.
