My Favourite Things… About Left 4 Dead 2

12 Dec

Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens won’t help you much in the zombocalypse by these are a few of the favourite things about Left 4 Dead 2 from 24 year old, Boston sound designer, The Lizard of Odd.

Allow me to immediately point out that I by no means consider myself a singer, but after accidentally completing the lyrics for the little ditty (I am typically incapable of finishing lyrics), I realized this was a project I wanted to see all the way through myself.

I did not really mean to sound so ‘nya-nyah’ about the boycott with this either…I never really cared much about it, and still don’t, but it’s what fit with the song and style, so there you go.

Also: Fraps for some reason insists on recording my audio twice…thus the doubling and occasional maxing out. I don’t really have another choice with L4D2 as the game changes my recording input to microphone each time.

All video is (obviously) from the game ‘Left 4 Dead 2′ by Valve Software. For convenience I mostly filmed in single player on normal mode, but I usually play multiplayer with Greatwenis (my brother), The Blonde Menace (his fiance), and Omega Gnome (my boyfriend). They’re all in here, hence the introductions.

The music is based off of ‘My Favorite Things’ By Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein. I created it in Fruityloops using Garritan’s Personal Orchestra, purely for parody entertainment and in no way make monies.

And if it bugs you enough to read this far, the title ‘All of My Favorite Left 4 Dead 2′ does not fit any known sentence structure because it instead fits the last line of a normal verse of this song. ‘These are a few of my favorite things’, ‘All of my favorite Left 4 Dead 2′. It doesn’t really make sense. :P
