A – Z Of Upcoming Zombie Movies

Fading of the Cries

Trailer:

Swordfighting evil in a zombie-demon-mutant-witchcraft movie.
Good: Some nice effects, and Brad ‘Chucky’ Dourif looking suitably evil.
Bad: Dubious ‘zombie’ credentials, but perhaps more worryingly it looks rather like Twilight with demons.

Gallowwalker

Trailer:

Lazily described (by us) as a Zombie-Blade-Western.
Good: Wesley Snipes is always quite a badass (Passenger 57 excluded)
Bad: Zombie Westerns don’t have a particularly good track record (Undead or Alive, Quick and the Undead…)

Hell Driver

Official Site: Director Yoshihiro Nishimura’s Blog
A car full of Japanese schoolgirls versus a zombie-infested Tokyo.
Good: Director Yoshihiro Nishimura has a goretastic track record, with Meatball Machine and Tokyo Gore Police among others.
Bad: His last film, Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl took the crazy gore to a bizarre mess of a movie. Lets hope this turns out better.

Invasion of the Not Quite Dead

Trailer:

Had to be included dues to ZC Barry’s involvement (see him in the trailer!). A meteorite unleashes a deadly virus on an English island, where survivors have to band together to survive. The film is still looking for crowd-sourced funding so head over to the official site to become a producer.
Good: Uniquely funded movie project has delivered an intriguing trailer, and the option to buy a share for only £10 and appear in the movie you’re buying is a great idea.
Bad: Will only get off the ground if enough fundraisers can be found. Go check the site for info on how to help out.

Next to no information and absolutely no images for this previously titled “Zombie Island” film, so here is a picture of polar bears eating the sun.

Directed by Phil Claydon of Lesbian Vampire Killers [ZC Barry: Will this have gay werewolves?], this could be a bit of fun.

This is Reality TV taken to the next level, as seven players have 70 minutes to survive the most lethal Zombies ever created in the deadliest game show imaginable

Good: Interesting premise gives the impression of Running Man / Battle Royale
Bad: Has been ‘In Development’ for quite a while with no word of progress/status. Hmm.

If one was trying to sell a zombie-themed song to a movie maker, where would one begin? My 15yo daughter wrote a unique and marketable song that zombie-lovers everywhere will appreciate.
